Tim Chan CCIE # 38694
“It took 1000-1100 hours of studying for me to get the CCIE certification. I used IPexpert resources relentlessly over the past year, labbing through CCIE R&S workbook 1 and 3, watching the streaming videos at home, and even listening to the video/audio stream through my iphone connected to my car audio.

IPexpert is the only vendor I know of that had the video walkthrough for the workbook and mocklabs in addition to a pdf of the solutions. This eliminated the frustration of learning from other vendor products that either had too many errors in the workbook or did not do a good job of explaining the technology.

IPexpert also stood out by far in the CCIE R&S bootcamp instruction area.  Marko’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and humor kept me focused and driven to learn the material. The digital whiteboard provided valuable take home notes and the in class lab demonstrations really make sure a point is proven.

The bootcamp hours were a lot longer ending at 8-10PM so at the end of the week it felt like I had just done 2 weeks of bootcamps. I came out of the bootcamp knowing I was not ready to take the lab exam at that time but knowing what I needed to work on and how to get there.
Before IPexpert I had tried two other vendors bootcamps and/or workbooks. After IPexpert, I knew IPexpert’s CCIE R&S materials were better and would teach me the skills needed to be a CCIE.
I was right, I passed the lab exam this week and became CCIE #38694″

Osama Saeed Abdelmonem Aboelfath  CCIE #38590
“My journey began after finishing my CCIP directly and it was totally different in topics than CCIE SPv3 which had a new curriculum and contains IOS-XR, so after reading and practicing every details in technologies I bought the IPexpert CCIE Service Provider workbook and wanted to rent a rack on IPexpert but unfortunately could not, so I used to practice it on GNS3 which was so useful to me, I also joined the online study group “OSL” which was amazing in sharing knowledge and people were so helpful. IPexpert owes a huge part of my success.

IPexpert is proud to boast the industry’s most complete and updated self-study portfolio for the CCIE Routing & Switching Lab, CCIE Voice Lab, CCIE Security LabCCIE Data Center Lab, and CCIE Wireless Lab exams. Have you also used IPexpert or Proctor Labs to help you pass the CCIE lab exam? If so, we want to hear your story! Please email us at success@ipexpert.com.

Stephen Keller CCIE # 38797 (Voice)
“I achieved my CCIE Voice certification within 6 months of purchasing my materials through IPexpert. Without the CCIE Voice Blended Learning Solutions and 1 Week CCIE Voice Bootcamps I would not have achieved this goal. The material covered by the instructors was very thorough and helped me fill in the gaps in many technical areas within the voice blueprint. Vik Malhi does a fantastic job of preparing you for the exam, helping with strategy and time management which is very critical to passing the exam. Thanks IPexpert!”

Michael Davis CCIE #26050 (R&S, Security)
“My name is Michael Davis, I am CCIE #26050. In the last two and a half years I have used IPexpert as my sole training provider and have passed both the Security and Routing and Switching CCIE lab exams. Not only were the Vol 1,2 and 3 CCIE R&S workbooks accurate and covered the entire blueprint, they also over prepared me and made the actual lab a lot less daunting than it could have been. I also attended both the Security and Routing and Switching Bootcamps and both were outstanding. I would not have passed the lab or improved my skills to a CCIE level and beyond without IPexpert. I have no doubt I will use IPexpert again when I take another track and do not hesitate in recommending them to anyone looking to become a CCIE. They certainly give you all the tools necessary and I cannot recommend them highly enough”

Francisco Bautista, CCIE #38750 (R&S)
Thanks, Marko! The CCIE R&S bootcamp and all your advises really helped me a lot for the exam preparation and during the test,  I followed your recommendations it saved me a lot of time in the configuration sections.

Ben Kirton CCIE # 38730 (Voice)

There is no way I would have passed that exam without Vik’s CCIE Voice courses and guidance. As prep beforehand I had sat the troubleshooting course, watched half the Voice BLS tech training videos, done up to halfway through lab 5a in the CCIE Voice workbook 1, never opened 2 and complained a lot about not having enough time. So in the end it was the troubleshooting course and the two week boot camp that gave me what I needed to pass. Running through labs 2-4 after doing nothing for 3 weeks after my first failure brought it all back and cemented the last few things I was missing. So thank you very much.

Micheal Sears CCIE #38404 (Voice) (from March 8th CCIE success story list)
“Thanks to IPexpert, Vik Malhi, Mike Franko and all the guys on the support team for helping me get through the CCIE (V) journey.

My experience with IPexpert has been great. Over the last two years the labs and the list have provided me with invaluable information which, without it, I would not have passed the lab. Being able to read the list and glean from all the questions and answers. Also, being able to provide answers to assist others, but being able to post my questions on the list and get feedback from the group. This helped me tremendously. And now that I’m a CCIE, I participate regularly trying to help others get this monster credential, which at some point I was wondering if it would ever happen.

Most helpful for me was using the IPexpert LABs and Solution guides. But especially helpful to me was have the CCIE Voice Video Tutorials. It was paramount in me getting my number. Having the step by step walk through’s.

Almost paramount in me getting my number were the three CCIE Voice Bootcamp’s I attended in San Jose taught by Vik. I don’t know maybe I’m slow but it took a lot for me to retain all the information and learn all the trouble shooting skills required for the LAB. The Bootcamp’s helped me very much in this area.

I would highly recommend that anyone going for their CCIE use the IPexpert CCIE Materials for study and do so regularly on the list. What can I say I couldn’t have made it without you guys, but thank God that part is over. Now the real experience begins in the real world of being a CCIE and meeting all the expectations of clients and coworkers.
Thank you IPexpert and Vik!

CCIE Data Center Workbook & Rack Update

Just a quick update on our CCIE Data Center offeringsChapter 15, of our CCIE Data Center Workbook is now completed – making the first 15 labs done and available! Also, our CCIE DC racks are up and available for rental. We are tweaking our scripting (and also working on the ability to save configs), so there are a few features within the Proctor Labs GUI that aren’t operational at the current moment – but they will be in the very near future. We have 3 full-scale racks up and operational, and have had requests to add more because of the scalability (or lack of) – so we have placed an order for 5 more. Hopefully within the next 4 to 6 weeks all 8 racks will be available and the schedule will free up a bit more.

IPexpert Begins Offering Associate, Professional and Written (Re-certification) Training for Cisco Certification Candidates via its Cutting-Edge Online-HD-ILT™ Training Solution

China, Michigan — April 10, 2013 —
IPexpert, Inc. announced today the availability of Associate (CCNA), Professional (CCNP) and Written (CCIE Written) certification training for Cisco certification candidates delivered via their new cutting-edge live, online training solution.

For over a decade, IPexpert has been the overwhelming choice amongst students when it comes to advanced, high-end Cisco (CCIE) certification training, and now they tend to set their sights on also dominating the introductory-level (CCNA) and mid-level (CCNP) career certification market.

IPexpert’s Online-HD-ILT™ was designed to create a engaging, “Hollywood-like” live classroom training experience, delivered via the internet, to global students. This new high-end delivery solution allows remote students the ability to grasp technical concepts through a highly-interactive, high-quality interface, which is much more cosmetically appealing, feature rich and engaging than their competitor’s traditional online learning solutions. Each course will offer interactive discussions through true voice over IP (VOIP) technologies, live communication abilities, and high definition, high resolution video delivered to and from IPexpert’s state-of-the-art recording and training studios, which are located throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.

“We’re extremely excited to be able to offer this level of training for our clients”, stated Wayne Lawson, IPexpert’s Founder & CEO. “We have dominated the advanced Cisco (CCIE) training sector for over a decade, and we can now utilize our world-renowned instructors, stockpile of high-end hardware (used via the web, by our students), and our unmatched Online-HD-ILT™ Cisco Certification training solution, to deliver cutting-edge classes to students who are starting out in the Cisco industry. We’re going to be able to utilize our processes, methodologies and resources to instantly become a dominant player in this market.”

Vik Malhi, IPexpert’s Sr. Technical Instructor & Managing Partner said, “Our high-end CCIE students that we have been teaching have requested this type of introductory training, for their staff, for years. We’re now happy to have an effective and cost-effective solution to offer them”.

About IPexpert:

Founded in 2001, IPexpert has become a global leader serving its niche market, boasting a complete portfolio of self-study training products, workbooks, video training, audio training, classes and online equipment available for rental for Cisco’s CCNA, CCNP and CCIE R&S, Voice, Data Center, Wireless and Security certifications.

CCNA, CCNP and CCIE Written Online-HD-ILT Classes for R&S, Voice, Data Center, Wireless and Security (Update)

$

0

As promised, we’ve finally announced and added these requested classes to our website. We have anywhere from 2 to 5 dates per class, per track, but will be more than quadrupling the number of course dates within the next 60 days. We are in the process of doubling (and updating the models) our R&S and Voice racks, and adding additional Data Center gear. We will also be launching CCNA and CCNP racks for our clients (and for training partners) once all of this hardware is racked and stacked. Our Security and Wireless racks are fully updated and ready to go, and we feel that we currently have a sufficient amount of hardware to meet the demand. The slight issue w/ our CCNA / CCNP / CCIE Written availability / course dates is that we’re trying to load-balance all of our existing hardware (and the new hardware we have ordered) between our aggressive CCIE class schedule, and our upcoming Bangalore, India class / facility launch (happening in June 2013). We are also working on a European office / division (similar to Bangalore) for local training (for our European audience) – and will have this sorted out by the end of Q2 as there are some immigration issues our attorney and CPA are hashing through. As many of you have, and do – if you’d like to request an onsite or custom class – or additional dates, please contact me directly.

Thanks! – Wayne

Jeff Rensink – IPexpert’s CCIE Wireless Instructor

Gang -

In the 13 years in which I’ve been running IPexpert – I’ve NEVER had this happen….so I felt necessary to give some “kudos” to Jeff.

A few weeks ago – Jeff taught his first CCIE Wireless Lab course as our Sr. Wireless IE Instructor. His VERY FIRST student to take the lab – after receiving course instruction and mentoring – (Flavio Correa) passed the lab the following week.

I’m sure I don’t have to mention how difficult the CCIE Wireless lab is – obviously – due to the low number of individuals who have passed – it’s proof. Jeff’s instruction, reworkings of our workbooks and also our online CCIE Wireless racks were all keys to Flavio’s success.

My experience with the Bootcamp was very positive because I had the opportunity to review everything that I was studying during my preparation few days before I took the exam. During this review I had the opportunity to clear up my final doubts and get some tips and advises about how the potential questions could be answered, not only in terms of the what´s the correct answer but also about best strategy and different ways of configuring the same thing. That was very valuable specially when you have a previous lab experience like I did. I will definitely recommend candidates to do the bootcamp as part of their lab preparation.

As a last comment I would like to congratulate Jeff Rensink regarding his training. He did a great job and was able to address all our questions during the class, as well as after it, during my last days of preparation always answering my long emails with difficult questions, most of them triggered by poor or no documentation from Cisco. He clearly didn’t have the obligation to supported me after the training but he made him available to guarantee  that everything could be done to support me. I really appreciate that. Also I would like to thanks Jeff and Marko Milivojevic that allowed me to extend my bootcamp rack for additional days during my last push for the final exam.

Flavio Correa, CCIE Wireless # 38913

When I asked Jeff what was so special about his course, and what made it so effective – here’s his reply:

In my class, I strive to follow the process below as I cover a given technology.

First I’ll lecture on the technology.  The goal here is to discuss the purpose of the technology, details about how it works, and call out identifying words or phases that students may see in the lab that would point them towards the use the technology.

Next, I’ll show the students how to configure the technology on the live equipment.  Where possible, I’ll show the technology in action.  This step also includes showing students how to test or verify their configurations as well as how to troubleshoot issues that may arise.

Third, I’ll try to quiz the students on how they could use the technology to solve some hypothetical lab situations.  I’ll also discuss with the students possible ways that the test could mess with their ability to configure the technology successfully.

Lastly, I’ll have the students configure the technologies themselves using the bootcamp workbook exercises.

As much as I can in the time allotted, I’ll try to move students through the levels of the cognitive domain of Bloom’s Taxonomy.  The more important the topic is, the more levels I’ll attempt to get through.

CCIE Security 4.0 Lab Prep “Stuff”

CCIE Security 4.0 Candidates -

I’ve had the pleasure of working with a local “Michigander” – who has been using one of our CCIE Security 4.0 racks, our Volume 1 workbook and obtain mentoring from Sam and Piotr. Unfortunately, he was just a few points from passing the lab last week, but in reality – I consider that a victory! He’s able to contest that our Vol 1 WB and racks are “spot on” and that our security experts have a solid system down to assist our students in obtaining the knowledge necessary to master the technologies and protocols seen on the lab.

PROMOTION: We’ve got our first 4.0 class coming up the week of 4/29 in San Jose. We have 2 seats remaining – so interested parties should contact our sales team if you’re interested.

For ILT students, our CCIE Security 4.0 Bootcamps are posted and available for scheduling. You will see that we have several “online” dates, which we call “Online-HD-ILT“. I’m sure, by now, everyone has seen our game-changing Online-HD-ILT training solution. Due to the amazing response we’ve received – we are confident that this new-era interface will ultimately be the future of CCIE training.

IPExpert’s CCIE Security Workbook Volume 1 was very thorough and attentive to all of the different technologies of the CCIE Security Version 4 blueprint. The instructors did a great job of phrasing the tasks so that they not only assess your ability to configure the solutions but they’ll also test your core knowledge of the specific technologies. All of the solutions include in-depth explanations of all of the configuration options and even how the given solution applies to different implementation scenarios; such as IPv6. These explanations are extremely valuable when you don’t just want to know how to configure something, but how it really works.

Samarth and Piotr are true experts in the Cisco Security field. They have been invaluable go-to resources once you’re stuck on something. Studying for this exam can be extremely stressful and frustrating and often times when I had to go to Sam and/or Piotr with questions I was boiling over with frustration and they quickly assessed where the gaps existed in my knowledge and instructed me on how to proceed. Having such approachable and knowledgeable instructors will ultimately play a very large role in my success with the CCIE Security v4 Lab Exam.

Kind Regards, Kevin Sheahan

Also – as a reminder, our new CCIE Security 4.0 Video on Demand is now 100% done and available. It consists of almost 50 hours of high-end lecture and configuration examples, and I’m extremely pleased with the material – I believe that it’s the beginning of our best Security product portfolio ever. We have several extremely talented Security instructors working vigorously on this content, and the material they’re developing is absolutely amazing!

Also, our CCIE Security Audio on Demand is also now available.

I’d like to congratulate two close friends of mine, Rick Mur and Iwan Hoogendoorn, on passing their CCIE Data Center lab(s) this week. These two gentlemen are two of the brightest Cisco engineers on the planet, and I’m thrilled and excited for them!

  • Rick Mur – 4x CCIE #21946 (Data Center, Storage, Service Provider & Routing and Switching)
  • Iwan Hoogendoorn – 5x CCIE #13084 (Data Center, Service Provider, Routing and Switching, Voice and Security)

Rick has been focused on developing our CCIE Data Center lab workbook for the past 5 months, and has (and is) helped get our 5 full CCIE Data Center racks online. He will be team teaching our CCIE Data Center classes, along with another full-time Data Center Instructor that we’ve recently hired (Official announcement coming in a few weeks!).

Iwan, one of my longtime beta testers, and a former developer, has been going through the exercises in our lab workbook (which is CLEARLY the most thorough product on the market) along with various Cisco Press books. He has also been using our racks, for the past several months – assisting us in working out some bugs and verifying solutions.

To celebrate Rick and Iwan passing their CCIE Data Center labs – and the verification of our workbook being their primary resource – I’m publishing a coupon code that will give you 30% off if you purchase our CCIE Data Center workbook THIS MONTH.

The coupon code is:  ”Congrats-Rick-and-Iwan

Iwan’s testimonial is as follows:

“Wayne, I just wanted to send you a quick update and let you know that I PASSED MY CCIE DATA CENTER Lab! :-) I want to thank you for allowing me to use your Data Center rack and beta test your workbook over the past several months! It’s clearly the best and most thorough product on the market. I owe you guys the thanks again! I look forward to continuing to beta test your Data Center products and assist you guys in rolling out the industry’s best CCIE Data Center products possible!”

We’re very pleased to be the first company – WORLDWIDE – that can now say that we’ve got a proven product and an instructor who has passed the CCIE Data Center lab! It seems to be a standing tradition that IPexpert has followed going back to my business partners Vik & Marko! Vik – is clearly the industry’s most accomplished CCIE Voice instructor (and we’ve recently added a 2nd fulltime CCIE Voice instructor – Sunny Sharma!), and Marko, our CCIE R&S “uber-geek”, was the first instructor in the industry to pass the 4.0 R&S lab. We’re also extremely proud of Jeff (Rensink) – our Wireless IE instructor – who is one of the very few wireless instructors on the market who have passed the current wireless lab. And, finally – as everyone knows – we have two of the world’s greatest CCIE Security instructors in Sam and Piotr – currently developing and teaching for us! We can now add Data Center to the list of accomplishments!

This is a huge accomplishment for my good friends Rick and Iwan, but it’s only the start! We’re very confident and excited about our future within the Data Center training space, specifically the CCIE Data Center lab arena, and plan (and expect) on many, many more announcements like this in the future (successful CCIE DC candidates)! Stay tuned for some game-changing announcements that we’ll be making soon – pertaining to the CCIE Data Center training space relating to products, a new (additional) instructor, additional racks, a VOD and more, and thank you for making us the world’s most-accomplished, recognized and respected CCIE training vendor on the market today!!!

Regards – Wayne

Attending the CCIE R&S BootCamp was the best thing I’ve ever did, not only for my certification preparation but for my career as well. Marko has truly perfected the art of teaching; his style not only allows you absorb this great deal of information but retain what you’ve learn. This BootCamp has given me the knowledge, the understanding and the confidence it takes to proudly wear the label of an expert. I would not only recommend Marko’s class but I honestly feel it’s vital for your CCIE preparation. Not only did I leave this class with a good CCIE number but a good friend as well. In the words of Marko myself “On the day of the lab, you only have one real task…don’t fail “– and this class is the best way to complete that task successfully.

“I began my CCIE R&S lab exam preparation in April of last year and after few months of studying and practicing CCIE R&S workbooks on lab rentals from proctor labs, I had decided to test my knowledge/readiness with OWLE Bootcamp. Marko’s mock exams and his approach towards them made me realize how I had to not only improve my speed tremendously but also cover few knowledge gaps uncovered during the CCIE R&S bootcamp. The first lab attempt failure was a good experience and made me truly comprehend everything that Marko had taught. I bought extra lab sessions and practiced everything based on his suggestions and the feedback provided during the class. IPexpert and Proctor Lab teams did a great job by dividing the 8hr sessions and making it more flexible which helped me further during last month of studying for second attempt. It definitely helped to have an expert like Marko validate my readiness and preparation style. I wish I had attended his class few months earlier and recommend the same for others pursuing the CCIE. Finally I am just very glad to say I am a CCIE now :)”

Rachit Gupta CCIE #29824
Finally, I passed the CCIE Service Provider exam on 4 March 2013, CCIE#29824. I used IPexpert’s CCIE SP Workbooks Volume 1, 2 and 3 to get myself familiar with CCIE Service Provider features that were covered in the CCIE SP.” Thanks to Marko, OSL and IPexpert Team.

I wanted to let CCIE Wireless candidates know that I’ve completed an update to the IPexpert CCIE wireless workbook volume 2.  The update adapts the previous version to work on our new ProctorLabs.com racks.  The labs are all essentially the same, but tweaked to work on the new topology.

The updated workbook and solutions guide should be available in your members area already.  The associated config files are also updated and available.

Lastly, ProctorLabs.com should now have the Workbook 2 lab load options.

Jeff Walker, CCIE # 39173
“I passed my R&S lab on my 3rd attempt last Friday. Thank you Marko for all of your help, I got the most learning out of your CCIE R&S Class and had a lot of fun.”

Sean Cook, CCIE # 39192
“Hey Marko – I sat the CCIE R&S lab today and I just found out I passed! My CCIE number is 39192. There is absolutely no way this would have been possible without attending your R&S CCIE boot camp. I used the strategies you suggested for both sections and I must say it worked….especially for troubleshooting. Also, your OSPF lecture was absolutely invaluable. Thank you so much!

Abel Mateo, CCIE # 28546
“I used all the CCIE Voice products (Video On Demand,Audio On Demand, Blended Learning Solution, vLectures, Workbooks, Rack Rentals, Online Study List, Blogs and Tech Articles) from 2011 to 2012. What I like the most of the all products is the end to end solution to cover all certifications. Now I’m preparing my DC track with a possible first attempt in December.”

Oliver Ksiazek, CCIE # 26851
“In my CCIE Voice exam preparation I used IPexpert  rack rentals & OSL. It is easy to access Racks and to use them once we have understood all their running mode. The OSL forum is also a great point where you can find and discuss about your CCIE track.”

Nic Bhasin, CCIE # 28547
“Throughout my journey to CCIE Security, I used IPexpert Security Workbook and Proctor-labs heavily, blowing through 75 sessions in a 5 month period. It is simply the best rack rental in this market. That the workbook is highly tailored to it is an added advantage. Amazingly user friendly and lets you focus on the work. You have really hit it out of the park by even supporting other vendor’s labs but especially the effort Tyson put in to make sure Yusuf Bhaiji’s official labs work on the topology with minimum discomfort is just amazing. Because of that, I was able to do and redo those labs multiple times without a hassle. These go a long way in making sure one is prepared for the exam. I used Video On Demand, Audio On Demand, vLectures, Workbooks, & Rack Rentals.”

Vignesh Sethuraman, CCIE #21893
I was a silent member of the Online Study List but then I got an excellent tips and support from the fellow study mates which has helped to me gain my CCIE number. I used the blogs and OSL to prepare for my CCIE R&S. The growing list of CCIE success stories specifically for Voice which made me now to become a proud customer of IPexpert CCIE Voice BLS.  Aiming to get my second CCIE in Voice track.

Razvan Iliescu, CCIE # 22806
“I passed V3 of the CCIE Security exam on August 26 2012. In my preparation i used vLectures, Workbooks, Online Study List. I really enjoyed the full scale labs of the CCIE Security workbook. They were very challenging and very very interesting, not only for the lab but also for what you can do with the technology.”

Darren O’Connor, CCIE # 38070
“IPexpert Blogs and CCIE Tech Articles were very helpful. Marko personally helped me, for which I am eternally grateful!”

Avinash Shukla, CCIE # 28418
CCIE Voice VoD was very helpful in clearing concepts and building fundamentals. It was also helpful in configuration steps. CCIE Voice Workbooks are also very accurate to what the actual labs. Thank you IPexpert!”

Pierre-Andre Sajous, CCIE # 37051
“I used IPexpert CCIE R&S Workbook & Rack Rental. Volume 1 & 2 Workbooks are perfect for learning the technologies on the blueprint. Combine that with  CCIE R&S Rack Rentals from ProtorLabs, it was a good combination to help build the foundations for passing.”

Stevan Zupanic, CCIE # 28471
IPexpert’s CCIE Security Video On Demand, Workbooks & Rack Rental helped me pass my exam. I liked the video on demand product as all the features are tested on the command line. Thank you IPexpert!”

Aleksandar Andric, CCIE # 39201
Two week CCIE R&S boot camp, led by Marko was the part that opened my eyes and showed me what I need to learn and how to do it! Even with all the knowledge, some non-technical advice that I also got from Marko made the difference between FAIL and PASS…I also used CCIE Workbooks and referred IPexpert blogs and Tech Articles.”

Fredy Jonathan Tafolla Salgado, CCIE # 38067
“I was using IPexpert Rack Rentals to practice for CCIE Voice Lab. Without your racks it wouldn’t have been possible. Thanks you IPexpert.”
